The Safe-T Check Sniffer Door is designed to support safer confined space operations by allowing atmospheric testing without the need for initial physical entry. Installed directly at a confined space entry point, the porthole provides a secure access point for inserting a gas detection instrument to conduct a zero-entry air test. By enabling workers to sample and evaluate the internal atmosphere in advance, it helps confirm safe entry conditions, reduce exposure to hazardous gases, and support compliance with confined space safety procedures before personnel enter the space.

Installation Instructions
- Locate the installation point
- Cut a hole using a 6″ hole saw
- Note: Use a 5/8″ fine-thread nut to secure the hole saw to the arbor.
- Assemble the Safe-T Check into the cut hole
- Secure the unit with 1″ #8 self-tapping screws (hand tighten only)
- Cut the seal lines using a razor knife
Operating Instructions
- Install the porthole at the confined space entry point
- Use the porthole to perform a Zero Entry Air Test prior to entry by inserting the gas detection instrument through the porthole
- Confirm safe entry conditions
